Check out @a.hodgefitness’s insane transformation over the past 12 years. This is so inspiring – even to an old lifter like me!
What’s so cool to me is that Ashley saw her best physique results after 10 years of training. You can see she didn’t have crazy genetics on her side.
This is a good reminder for all of us – we will never know our true potential until we fully dial in our nutrition, training, sleep, and stress. We call Ash “cyborg” because she does this better than anyone.
Here are Ash’s current PRs, at a bodyweight of 131 lbs:
Squat 253lbs
Bench 181 lbs
Deadlift 405 lbs
Military 105 lbs
Chin 75 lbs (actually 206 w/bw)
Thrust 600 lbs
Total 1750 lbs (13.35X BW)
StrongLifting did her body good. Ash is a warrior and the competitions give her something to focus on. She actually thrives on it. In fact the entire squad did for a solid year; the energy at Glute Lab was magnificent and the ladies pushed and motivated each other to be their best.
For this reason, Sept 2020 to Aug 2021 was quite possibly the best year of my life as it was spattered with PRs, feats of strength I never knew were possible, and amazing trips and memories.
I hope this video gets you equally as pumped as it did me. Can’t wait to hit the gym today and crush it. Keep it going Ash, you’re a legend!
